A Busy Month for 'Painting for Peace'

We've had a busy month! We've been blessed to have the chance to travel to events near and far in the past 30 days or so, sharing the good word about what was done in St. Louis and Ferguson to beautify boarded up windows. Here's a few pictures from the events we've attended in recent weeks.

First, we got to attend the BookExpo America in New York, where we had the chance to share the book with a new batch of fans. The expo ran from May 27-29. While we were there, on May 27, Painting for Peace in Ferguson received its IPPY award from the Independent Publisher. (See below)

Then, on June 20, we attended (with Kristina Makansi, also pictured above) the Tower Grove Farmers Market. You may recognize Kristina as the publisher of the first edition of Painting for Peace in Ferguson.

And just this week, we had a great time at the Missouri History Museum for its "PAWS" reading event, where a group of authors attended to read to kids and service dogs.
